They all three bring many different eclectic talents to the table both personally and professionally. * * * * About Shauna Rae: Shauna Rae comes from the music industry, where she recorded and toured with Universal recording act Farmer's Daughter for many years. She and her husband, Shaker (also in the music biz and currently playing with Mercury recording artists Halfway to Hazard and Warner Bros. recording artist Lance Miller) left Vancouver, BC and made Nashville home in the fall of 2001. "One of my great passions in life is yoga, and I starting thinking about opening a yoga studio once I decided I was ready to come off the road, and start moving away from the music business. At the same time, my dear friend Helen Gaye was thinking of opening a business in East Nashville that focused on beauty products and services, and we started combining our ideas. The result was magnolia." back to top * * * * BettyAnn Peed Coming soon! back to top * * * * Casey Catignani - Licensed Aesthetician Casey graduated from Tennessee Technology Center's aesthetics program, and is a licensed aesthetician. She specializes in gentle waxing for the face and body, and is an expert with facials, glycolic and lactic peels, and lash and brow tinting. She has received certificates for post-graduate classes at the National Dermal Institute in Atlanta in waxing, face mapping, skin care for acne-prone skin. As a member of a large, close family, Casey grew up knowing she wanted to work in a field that allowed her to help people. She started school as a psychology major, and then decided to look at other options. As a frequent spa visitor she knew she loved the art of making skin beautiful and healthy and decided on a career in aesthetics. "In July of 2006, I was a recent graduate of Tennessee Tech. in aesthetics, and was offered a position at magnolia. I was grateful to come on board and share my passion for aesthetics with my clients. I love the fact that I not only help my clients have beautiful skin, but that I give them an escape from the tensions of daily life." back to top * * * * Angie Whitten - Licensed Aesthetician Angie attended New Directions in Nashville for her skincare training and received her Aesthetics license from the State of Tennessee in October of 2004. She is constantly rewarded by sharing her knowledge and education of skin care with all of her clients in a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. She is also committed to continuing her education and attends trade shows to keep current in our ever changing industry. Angie specializes in facials, brow and facial waxing, and chemical peels. back to top * * * * Christy Andrews - Registered Massage Therapist Christy graduated from the Cumberland Institute, here in Nashville, in 1998. She seemed to have a natural ability for massage, and was encouraged enough by those around her, to make it a career. "I find it so rewarding to watch a client's expression go from frustration, stress and in pain, to calm, peaceful and relaxed. That's when I know I've made a difference, which is very important to me." Christy has an intuitive nature and compassionate spirit that keeps her striving to do whatever she can to help someone in need through her expertise in therapeutic massage. back to top * * * * Becky Merin - Licensed Cosmotologist Becky Merin was born and raised in Southern California, and that's where she received her Cosmetology License in 1982. That same year, she married Larry, and they moved to Houston to pursue their individual careers, and their two sons, Sydney and David were born saying "Shalom Ya'll". "I loved doing all that BIG TEXAS HAIR, and worked in 3 great salons over 12 years." Becky and family then moved on to "Clinton country", Little Rock, AK, where she and her partner ran an Aveda Concept Salon. This is where her cosmetology training became one with her passion to offer full and complete nail services for her clients. Becky enjoyed many days of going from hair to facials to nail to make-up services, and was also active building the PTA within the neighborhood. When Larry received the opportunity to work at Vanderbilt Medical Center, it was time to leave the little town of Little Rock and head to the "big city" of Nashville. The Eastside was their first choice for housing and schools and they've been calling East Nashville home now for 8 years. Sydney and David are now teenagers and have grown as much as Becky's love for life in the "hood". Building great relationships with great people in a great neighborhood...what more could a southern gal want? back to top * * * * Adrian Grammer - Licensed Nail Technician Adrian is a graduate of Volunteer Beauty Academy, and is one of those rare, native Nashvillians. She is a natural nail specialist, and is always exploring new products and developing new services. "I love doing nails, and magnolia is a great environment to be in every day.
